Welcome to Garden Explorer! Here you can find information on any of the plants in the St Andrews Botanic Garden database. Use the fields below to search for a plant if you know its name, or look for all of the plants in a particular part of the garden, using the Location field. Alternatively, you can browse through an alphabetical list of the whole living collection in the ‘Names’ tab.
St Andrews Botanic Garden is a living research and conservation experiment, where we explore the ways ecology and evolution unfold in the plant kingdom.
The Garden has around 6,000 plants in its database, which are used for conservation, education and research. We hope you enjoy getting to know them!
